100 Years War

The 100 Years War started when the French King died and had no sons. Two people then claimed the throne, the King of England and a french man. The french man became King. The English king did not like this so he decided to invade France. At first the English were winning most of the battles. After about 100 years of fighting, a peasnt girl named Joan of Arc, made the french troops organized a gave them hope again. The English eventually killed Joan, but the damage was done. the french took all of their land back and sent the English running back to their country.

After the 100 Years War

The 100 Years War changed both the English government and  the French government. In England the Parliament's power grew, while the King lost power. The Parliament's power grew because the King needed their approval to raise money for the war. In France, however, the Kings Power grew a lot. The Nobles liked the king during the war and continued to support him after it.
